At just 13-years-old, Astrid Melendez fled death threats, economic hardship, and the only world she knew to reunite with her mother in the safe asylum of America. But without any connection or understanding of the language and culture, her struggles only continued. However, her story doesn’t end there. Now, she’s telling her story to the world and we had the privilege of hearing that story first hand in our latest CommonAlly Chronicles interview.
